University of Jordan Student Wins Gold Medal at the 15th Bromine Amman International Marathon

A University of Jordan (UJ) student, Mohammad Al-Mahdi Musleh, won first place and the gold medal in the 10,000-meter race (Kingdom Championship) held as part of the 15th edition of the Bromine Amman International Marathon.

Organized under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Firas bin Ra’ad, the marathon concluded on Friday with the participation of more than 5,000 runners from Jordan and several Arab and international countries, reflecting a remarkable spirit of competition and inclusion.

Musleh, who studies in the Department of Social Work at the School of Arts, delivered an exceptional performance that enabled him to outpace his competitors and stand proudly at the top of the podium. His gold medal was presented during an award ceremony attended by Minister of Youth Dr. Raed Adwan, the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of the Jordanian Marathon Association, and representatives of Jordan Bromine Company, the main sponsor of the event organized under the slogan “Run in the Heart of Amman.”

This victory carries a deeply inspiring story. Despite his visual impairment, Musleh has consistently proven that determination can overcome any obstacle. His achievement is a testament to perseverance, discipline, and the unwavering belief that challenges can be transformed into opportunities for excellence.
