  This course focuses on the similarities and differences between the first language (mother tongue) and the second language especially with regard to the phonetic morphological , syntactic and cultural systems . it also holds comparisons between these systems to enable the student to differentiate between them . the course tackles the development in the methods of teaching the second language starting with the oral , communicative , total and technological response methods , and the use of the computer in learning the second language.
