Course Description :
This course concentrates on the definition of remote sensing and its role in geographical research, geometrical properties of aerial photographs, principles of photo – interpretation, and the geographical applications of aerial photography. Electromagnetic radiation and its interaction with surface material, and land use. Different types of imaging sensors, and imageries. Principles of digital image processing and interpretation. General application of satellite imageries in geographic research.
