Course Description :
The course deals with the basic skills used in transferring any theme to thematic map. Therefore several topics will be discussed, such as definitions and designing of general contents or annotation of thematic maps; including their sources and the main cartographic methods ( Qualitative and Quantitative) in representing features or their attributes on maps. Finaly the course will deal with the main problems in applying these methods both in traditional and digital techniques.
