Course Description :
These studies deal with the desertification phenomenon in different regions of the World, Emphases will be placed upon the effects of changes in certain physical characteristics on desertification, such as: climate, Albedo factor. And ecological landscape and soil characteristics. Floods and human being activities on desertification, also, will be studied. The vegetation characteristics to the desertification phenomenon will be focused specially vegetation density and other parameters Quantitative and qualitative degradation assessment methods using Remote sensing and GIS techniques.
