"Population and Development" Seminar for Graduate Students at the "Jordanian Faculty of Arts"
The Department of Geography at the College of Arts organized a seminar for postgraduate students today entitled "Population and Development". The department hosted Dr. Tayseer Muqaddadi, Assistant Director General of the Department of Statistics for Technical Affairs and Executive Director of the General Population and Housing Census, which will be implemented in 2025, where he spoke about the role of household data in formulating development policies, pointing out the most important sources of demographic data and household surveys implemented by the department and the most important population indicators that can be used in the process of formulating development policies. Dr. Ahmed Al-Khawaldeh, Professor of Population and Demography from Yarmouk University, also presented to the participants during the seminar how to employ population indicators in comprehensive development plans
